International opportunities
Franchising overseas is growing; it has been one of the most successful forms of business provision and distribution worldwide. Many overseas networks are universally known, for example, High and Mighty, Golf USA and Contours Express. To enter into this field, you need information and specific knowledge of the countries to be developed. The selection of your master franchisee is very important who will in turn attract good hard working and effective sub franchisees.
The new network will grow and the business risk will be reduced when comparing with the situation facing organisations operating alone. To be best prepared for the franchisor expanding overseas, you must know what to expect and what will be required by the network to be profitable.
• There may be minor changes needed to the brand or its image to make it more acceptable overseas and to make the new enterprise flourish; your home format may not necessarily be exactly what's needed abroad.
• The legal framework differs from one country to another.
• The international and internal regulations must be understood.
To help and provide the detail to meet this challenge, we at Franchise Training Limited (FTL), have produced our online learning modules to cover these crucial areas that must be addressed before a final decision is made.
The modules form our Certificate in International Franchising and fuller details of its content, the delivery and cost and how to register can be seen on our website at www.franchisetraining.co.uk.
Our company specialises in delivering training programmes, both online and face-to-face, to all stakeholders, intending franchisees and franchisors and existing practitioners. Again using the key modules, we have developed a Certificate in Franchise Business Management and it will be available as an online concept later this summer.
• FTL believes that all stakeholders need to be properly advised on how franchising operates today; our concept is to promote franchising as a preferred way of conducting small business. Franchising has been proved to be successful and we want to ensure franchising remains the preferred method of conducting business.
• To achieve our objective, FTL remains independent; we do not promote any brand or organisation. We develop courses and training to suit the market, home and abroad, delivered by 'e' learning or through face-to-face seminars.
Our online courses are supported by downloadable materials, with properly supervised interaction between trainees and trainers. Our students are encouraged to post questions to our moderated forum on our website. This provides continuous support to them and an invaluable source of information and contact for us.
On completion, FTL will issue certificates; quality assurance will be provided through third party accreditation of our certification programmes. This monitors their continuing standard.
Based on the knowledge developed through the modules prepared for our online courses, we are pleased to offer direct training in the UK or abroad. This covers the key aspects of franchising, the challenges and rewards of being your own boss and being a successful franchisee, the financial and legal considerations and the support networks available.
We also offer bespoke face-to-face training designed around specific topics identified by our clients at locations convenient to them. They will also have access to our online support and will be awarded with the necessary certificates.
Our company is managed by people experienced in franchising, particularly the legal aspect, banking and finance, business, IT, strategic management and international business.
