About Spettro

Spettro is a management franchise and a new breed of buildings insurance claims business. When an incident occurs be it as a result of weather, fire, flood, malicious damage or otherwise our customers turn to us to put things right. We deal with the insurance company concerned, appoint contractors to complete the repairs and project manage the whole claim.

Historically, companies in our sector dealt almost exclusively with property insurance claims and specialised in that area. We decided to offer a wider service and now manage non-insurance work and also carry out asbestos testing too. The business is regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) which allows the business to loss assess and mediate with all the major insurance companies, a service which is free of charge to the insured. As a result the Spettro franchise has three distinct income streams, spreading out your commercial risk and increasing your earning potential.

Training & Support

At the heart of our business is a comprehensive initial training programme which is both classroom and "out and about" on real life jobs.
After the first two weeks you'll be able to handle most of what comes your way. There then follows an on-going support and education process so that you can build on your new skill set as your business experience grows.

On an ongoing basis the company supports each franchisee with a technical helpline and Spettro also runs a call centre to deal with all incoming calls on each franchisee’s behalf.

Financial Information

We already have 4 franchisees operating successfully.

The Spettro franchise has been comprehensively road tested prior to it's launch. Our two pilot schemes are still trading now and will form the basis of your financial due dilligence. Our pilots showed that by following our unique blueprint a first year turnover of around £240,000 is achievable with an earning potential of around £70,000. Each franchise costs only £28,000 plus VAT for a complete business start-up package.

The pilot franchise achieved a turnover in excess of £240,000 with a 65% operating profit and one of our franchisees earned half of his franchise fee back in his first week of trading.

Is a Spettro Franchise for you?
You certainly don't need previous insurance or buildings experience because we'll train you to do the job and there is no selling involved. The most important attributes are that you can get on with people from all backgrounds and that you accept that self-employment is as much about hard work as it is about what you know!

Typically, your working day will involve a mixture of being out seeing clients and working behind your own desk either from home or your own local office. You'll liase with local tradespeople, insurance companies and, of course, the home or business owner that has had the original incident. As a result, good communication and project management skills are desirable.

There are many different UK-wide locations available and with Channel 4's Dispatches listing the top twenty locations most at risk from flooding in the UK, we are preparing for future demand for our services.
