British more ambitious
The once-reserved British are becoming increasingly ambitious with over seven million believing they will become millionaires. A survey by Orange Business Services also found that two-thirds of that number expect to make their first million within 10 years.
However, the report also found that many would go to any lengths to get their hands on the loot: 40 per cent of men said they would go to jail for a crime they hadn't committed and lose all contact with their family for a year for a million pounds. Young people are most ambitious with a quarter of 16-24 year olds anticipating millionaire status in their lifetime. Most millionaires-in-waiting expected to make their money through entrepreneurship and company ownership rather than through the lottery or a windfall.
