How not to employ

Research from T-Mobile suggests that it is the bosses who need to brush up on their interview skills, not candidates. A survey of 2000 people found that 26 per cent came away with a bad impression of the company and nearly half of those turned down a subsequent job offer citing rudeness, lateness, sexism and even drunkenness. 40 per cent of those surveyed thought they had been asked questions totally unrelated to the job, 35 per cent thought the interviewer was unprepared while 18 per cent arrived late and kept candidates waiting with no apology. Worryingly 16 per cent were sexist, seven per cent racist and two per cent drunk!
