Risky business
One-third of new companies are operating without the relevant business insurance, according to insurance website Insurantz.com. The website says that three-quarters of owner-managers think that a good website, snappy business name and attractive marketing materials are more important than insurance. Many blame time-consuming forms and red tape for not buying insurance. The website also says that nearly half of home workers operate without cover and those who do have insurance admit to having little idea about their level of coverage.
