Westaff to grow its staff
The new recruitment sector franchise launched by Westaff is already proving a resounding success. When details of the major new opportunity were first revealed at April's British & International Franchise Exhibition, it attracted a significant number of direct enquiries from interested visitors to the show as well as generating numerous visits to the Westaff website.
Westaff has a commitment to excellence and continuous growth. The company developed from its origins in the US to become a multi-million pound recruitment business with a UK branch network throughout England, Scotland and Wales as well as operations in the US, Australia and New Zealand.
As a result of a management buy-out in March, Westaff UK was acquired by the newly-formed Fortis Recruitment Group, owned by Westaff UK managing director, David Mogford. He takes personal ownership of the UK division and its 20 branches nationwide.
The Gloucester-headquartered company has a commitment to establish its brand in new areas across the UK. During the past 40 years, it has achieved an impressive track record, building a solid reputation for providing the highest quality recruitment solutions for permanent and temporary staff, and blue chip and national clients.
Finding quality employees is never easy. Westaff prides itself on lifting some of this burden - enabling its employer clients to get on with running their businesses more effectively.
"First, we like to get 'beneath the skin' of our clients' operations to determine exactly what they want," explains Westaff's Richard Osmond. "We strive to understand and meet their ever-changing business demands. We constantly aim to improve our service, offering an unrelenting commitment to quality and to satisfying clients' requirements. Through this understanding we can evaluate, recruit and place the most suitable candidates to exceed their expectations."
The recruitment industry has seen impressive growth the past few years. Turnover in the industry has increased by 7.4% to reach a record high of more than £26 billion - much of that due to the 1.3 million temporary and contract workers who are placed every week.
"The launch of our new franchise presents a superb opportunity for individuals to grow in this dynamic business sector," says Mr Osmond.
"There is often an element of trial and error when setting up a business, but with the support and experience of a dedicated Westaff franchise manager, franchisees will be guided through the start-up process and offered all the professional advice and help they need."
He says the interest that Westaff has received so far has been "exceptional" and justifies the commitment to the launch of a Westaff franchise operation.
"We have been greatly encouraged by the quality of the interest - with individuals coming from diverse sectors and looking to seize the Westaff recruitment franchise opportunity in different parts of the country.
"This is very important for us and the franchisees. We already have comprehensive coverage from our existing operations - but this degree of interest is heartening for us and those who've expressed interest."
He says he wants the company to grow and be recognised as one of the premier recruitment consultancies across the country.
"We see our franchisees being a core part of this development. With this degree of interest, we are well on the way."
