Powerpramming speeds ahead
Earning money may be the focus for many in the franchise industry, but Liz Stuart, a new addition to the industry with her novel powerpramming exercise class, is one exception.Liz started Powerpramming in 2004 to get back in shape after the birth of her child, and as a result, developed a fitness programme for new mothers, which involves power walking while pushing prams around a park, as well as circuit training-based exercises where babies are often used as weights.
Powerpramming classes in London and Woking have proved extremely popular and the idea has received huge media coverage in recent months.
Liz now plans to licence the idea out to qualified postnatal exercise teachers, who have to sign an agreement so they can use the brand and agree to various terms.
Liz says: 'I do want to see Powerpramming happening nationally and internationally but not intending to take money from people for it.
'I have signed up two instructors so far, however, I want to expand even further and it would be great to get classes started in the North especially in Liverpool and Leeds as they are the cities my husband and I are from!'
