Signs of change in Milton Keynes
The UK’s leading signs and graphics manufacturer Signs Express (Milton Keynes) has gone from strength to strength since opening in 1995 and is now celebrating their success by moving their operation to a larger production unit. The new premises are conveniently situated just a couple of doors down from their previous location on Alston Drive, Bradwell Abbey. For centre owner Stuart Harrison and his team, there was cause for double celebrations as the move coincided with the completion of the new signage for Milton Keynes College. They were commissioned to create external signage for the existing sports hall on the college campus and the brand new Andrew Peck building. Working closely with the marketing department at the college, Signs Express (Milton Keynes) specified the materials needed to create the designs for the branding.
All of the large external signage is manufactured from aluminium composite (dibond) with those on the Andrew Peck building being mounted on locators, giving a 3-D effect to the individual lettering. The new signage is eye-catching and compliments the UK fastest growing colleges’ outlook for offering modern facilities and resources.
Commenting on the work, centre owner Stuart said: ‘This project is extremely important to us. Working for a large public institution within our area is fantastic and testament to our strong reputation in Milton Keynes for providing a professional and friendly service, whilst using the very latest in sign making technology. And now with our larger unit, we have the added investment of being able to take on these larger jobs – an added advantage over our nearest competitors.’
Staff at the college are delighted with the new signage and Andrew Peck, former Chair of Governors at the college from 2001-2007, complimented the new branding on the campus buildings. Hannah Meara from the Marketing Department at Milton Keynes College comments, ‘Signs express delivered a great service, we are really pleased with the result and feel it has benefited the college.
