Anytime Fitness, one of the fastest-growing fitness franchises, has announced the opening of its 3,000th health club. Chuck Runyon (pictured), co-founder and CEO, will lead the celebrations by opening the new site in Stroud later this month. Anytime Fitness now has 60 clubs in the UK, international clubs in nearly 30 countries, and over 2.5 million members in total.

Andy Thompson, chairman of Anytime Fitness UK, says: “I’m delighted that all Anytime Fitness members can now use any of our 3,000 clubs, which are open 24/7 – from Singapore to Stroud.”

The Stroud club has had overwhelming support from the local community, with pre-memberships selling out quickly. Owner Adam Philips, a former finance professional, left the industry to focus on his keen interest in fitness.

He added: “Although work started in earnest in June, we had commitment from the community as early as August 2014, which has been incredible. We’re honoured to be hosting the celebrations for the 3,000th club, and look forward to growing and supporting the health goals of our Stroud members in the coming months.”
