The British Franchise Association (bfa) has appointed Emma Wilsdon as its new external relations & training manager.

This is a new role at the Association that has been created to help maximise the bfa’s relationships with media, academia and the business community in order to widen the profile of franchising.

Emma joins Kelly Blackmore-Lee and Emily Price as part of the senior management team taking the Association forward under the guidance of its new CEO, Pip Wilkins.

Emma brings experience of franchising with her roles as senior brand manager and training and development manager at Guinot before, more recently, working within Sage in a project management role.

Pip Wilkins, CEO said: “I am really pleased to add Emma to the team at the bfa. She brings a great background in the commercial aspects of business as well as broad experience in both marketing and training which were a great fit for this role.”

Emma said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to lead this new area of work within the Association. It is exciting to be starting a role where I can introduce concepts, assist in raising the awareness of a great business model and have an input in the strategic direction of the Association.”

Emma took up the role on Monday 1 August.
