Surge in CQC registrations increase Kare Plus franchise owners’ service offerings

Franchise owners at the UK’s most established multi-service healthcare franchise, Kare Plus are adding more services to their multi-income healthcare businesses with new CQC registrations allowing them to deliver domiciliary care.

With an increasing need for post-hospital care services, over 35% of the Kare Plus network is now CQC registered, enabling them to provide care to people within their own homes. In August alone, both Rugby and Chelmsford achieved their registrations.

Following inspection from the Care Quality Commission, Kare Plus Chelmsford franchise owner, Sheel Phakey was delighted with the result: “I always planned on achieving my CQC registration and once I felt I had my establishment service fully supported in all three of my territories, I knew it was time to move on to the next step of the Kare Plus model.”

Kare Plus Rugby’s franchise owner, Amy Hardy has wanted to get her branch’s domiciliary care service underway since she joined Kare Plus back in January, and managed to achieve a fast six week turn around: “I’d like to make domiciliary care the bread and butter of my business. I feel it has a lot of scope and opportunity to help change the health and social care industry.

“We applied in July and officially got our registration on 19th August. We’ve even got a customer in the pipeline already!”

All Kare Plus franchise owners follow a model that offers multiple healthcare services including medical staff supply, specialist and non-specialist nursing, supported living, home care, critical care and much more – with CQC registration being the second step, allowing entry into the home care sector.
