Fresh off the back of winning the UK Best Franchise Award 2016 in December and achieving the status of the most highly recommended care agency in the UK* the quality care franchise Right at Home has now been rewarded for valuing and supporting its care staff.
Smith & Henderson announced the winners of the inaugural Best Employers in Care Awards on February 8th. These awards are presented to the nation’s top care employers, based on feedback from thousands of carers.
Care workers were asked to complete a confidential survey about what it is like to work at their organisation, with questions covering leadership, training, communication, client focus and whether they would recommend their company as a great place to work.

Right at Home received the Best Mid-Size Employer Award, which is given to a care organisation that employs between 200-999 carers.
Managing Director at Right at Home, Ken Deary said, “Winning the Best Employer in Care Awards is an honour and vitally important to us. It is particularly meaningful because the winners are decided not from the subjective opinion of judges, but from hard evidence given by our most important people, our CareGivers, via an independent and anonymous survey.”
Steven Frost, CEO of Smith & Henderson, the awards organisers said, "The winners of these inaugural awards should be commended because they are based on feedback from their care workers and thousands of others. The care sector too often receives negative publicity – in contrast these winners have established strong cultures whereby carers have the right support and training; are well led and have a strong commitment to delivering excellent client service.
