Oven Wizards recruits 50th franchisee

Published: 07 April 2017

Rob Radford, who joined the network earlier this year, says: “I would say my reasons for joining were that I really liked the business model in terms of the flexibility to manage my own diary around family commitments.

“Also, the size of the territory offers me room for expansion to multi-van in the future, without the need for more investment. I like the concept whereby we as franchisees deal directly with managing directors John and Mark on a daily basis rather than a team that work for them.

“My experience so far is that what John and Mark described when I first met them is the absolute reality of what you get when you buy an Oven Wizards franchise. I feel there is plenty of business to be had.

“I am finding it very satisfying in terms of the customer’s reaction to the results I can achieve on their ovens and challenging in terms of each job being different. I am enjoying being out and about and managing my own time, as well as juggling the various aspects of being self-employed.”

The news comes as Oven Wizards experiences high levels of success, with business growth up 22 per cent in 2016 in terms of the level of custom.

Mark Bedford, Oven Wizards franchisee for Poole, says: “I’m very pleased with the past year and, so far, this year is up on last year. I’m very happy with the way things are going.”

Antony Puttock, Oven Wizards franchisee for Worthing and Arundel, adds: “A very good start indeed for my new Oven Wizards business. There certainly are a lot of avenues for us to go down to generate business. We are really pleased with how things are going.”

James Booker, who has been an Oven Wizards franchisee in Maidstone for 11 years, comments on the support he received by saying: “It’s fantastic! I've first-hand experience of other franchisors and can say that John and Mark's support is second to none. They're on hand with advice, support and motivation whenever it's needed.

“I would definitely recommend the franchise model. So much so, that I've already renewed my agreement with Oven Wizards twice.”

Managing director Mark Abbott says: “2016 was another great year for Oven Wizards, building on the success of the previous few years. We have also recruited seven new franchisees in the first quarter of 2017.

“We are thoroughly enjoying sharing our business ethos with our new franchisees and it is great to see them doing so well in their own territories.

“We are now firmly established as the third-largest oven cleaning franchise in the UK, and with an initial franchise fee of just £12,500, we believe we still offer the best-value-for-money oven cleaning franchise in the market.”
