The workingmums.co.uk awards took place in an online ceremony on Tuesday 16th May 2017, with Bluebird Care being a finalist in the innovation category. This is the award/s second year of running, recognising franchisors that are helping women combine business success and family life.

Judging this year’s awards were:
23 franchises were shortlisted along with 30 franchisees and the winner of each category was then put forward with the chance to win the Overall Top Franchise Award.
Those shortlisted for The Franchise Award for Innovation alongside Bluebird Care had to demonstrate that they had innovative policies and practices, helping franchisees to grow and improve their businesses.
On awarding Bluebird Care, the judges commented:
"Bluebird Care presented a gold standard for other franchises. They were leaders in their industry in terms of their investment in technology to support franchisees and the elderly people they were caring for. It was both innovative in a business and social sense and its innovations could be adapted by franchisors across the board."
Duncan Berry, chief operating officer of Bluebird Care commented:
"We are thrilled that Bluebird Care has won this award, we continue to invest in new technology to support our franchisees and their businesses, most recently launching our new staff guide app and the PASSsystem."
