Jackson Fire & Security opens in Walsall

Jackson Fire & Security has opened its newest franchise in Walsall.

The branch, which covers Walsall, Litchfield, Tamworth, Sutton Coldfield and Cannock, will be run by Sam Gale, a former lance corporal in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME).

While serving in the REME, Sam trained as a mechanic, having previously worked on tanks as an electrician. After seven years in the army, he worked as a health, safety and fire consultant.

Sam says: "I really enjoyed my time in the army and the training I received there was world class. In civvy street, I was looking for an opportunity that was equally as challenging and would use my technical skills to the full. Jackson Fire & Security ticked every box.

"I now plan to meet with as many local business owners as possible to show them what we do and the cost savings that are possible – there is huge potential around this area.

"I will also be recruiting more local engineers in the near future; I have already taken on one engineer and plan to have at least two on the road as soon as possible."

Steve Jackson, managing director of Jackson Fire & Security, adds: "Sam’s background in the army and his professional training as an electrician and mechanic made him a perfect candidate to run our Walsall franchise. His technical knowledge is first class and he is a real asset to the company."

Founded in 1991, Jackson Fire & Security employs 35 people across franchises in Cambridgeshire, North Wales, North West England, Staffordshire and Yorkshire.
