Creams Cafe opens its 50th UK store

Published: 13 July 2017

Dessert parlour franchise Creams Cafe will open its 50th store in the UK this month after unveiling a new store every month since the end of 2016.

The UK’s largest dessert-only restaurant plans to double its number of stores in the UK by the end of 2017, taking the total to 100. It currently has premises planned in locations including Bristol, Bournemouth, Gateshead and Liverpool.

Creams Cafe, which was established in 2008, puts its recent success down to engaging with its social media followers, including 122,000 fans on Facebook.

As part of the expansion plan, Creams Cafe will roll out a new menu to all stores nationwide, which will feature alongside existing choices.

Shane Boyd, Creams Cafe franchisee for Windsor, says: "We are very satisfied with the business. We’ve been open two years, and we’ve hit our targets for the franchise year on year and we’re increasing our turnover year on year.

"We’re probably up 10 per cent on last year already in regards to monthly sales. Both the franchise and ourselves are dovetailing nicely in the area through marketing and various other means."
