Two existing Dream Doors franchises are currently available in Wakefield and Bolton, areas in which company founder, Troy Tappenden, is eager to find new applicants.
"The businesses in Bolton and Wakefield are fantastic locations for a Dream Doors franchise, and have been operating profitably for some time. With these well-established showrooms now available, a new franchisee could skip a lot of the initial leg work involved with setting up a franchise and get right onto the selling! After all, these areas are ripe with existing customers, have excellent local reputations and, more importantly, still have huge potential to grow and become even more profitable."
While Dream Doors is the largest kitchen facelift retailer with close to 80 showrooms nationwide, there are still at least 40 territories still awaiting the right candidate. But, for some people, the most coveted territories are where existing showrooms are already in place. Which is why, explains Troy, potential new franchisees shouldn't be put off if there's a showroom already in place in their preferred location.
"While we have just two businesses on the market at the moment, we have other franchisees who are approaching retirement age, or are considering their exit strategies. So, I'd urge anyone, from anywhere, who's interested in the Dream Doors franchise to get in touch with us to discuss opportunities in their area."
There are many advantages to investing in a franchise resale compared to starting from scratch. For a start, the new franchisees don't have to worry about finding a showroom while trying to get their business afloat. Plus, with previous relations intact, a fitting team could be readily available and ongoing advertising is in place generating new enquiries ripe for the picking.
Matt Jones, owner of Dream Doors Truro, took on an existing business last year, and had this to say about his experience:
"I don't know how others find the time to get a business running AND find a new showroom! With a franchise resale, you hit the ground running with customers and fitters readily available. I wouldn't have done it any other way.
"For me, the resale opportunity was a golden ticket, so I'd advise anyone considering such a purchase to take full advantage of it! Put all your energy into selling, and the setting up will come naturally. What's more, if you work hard you can start your new business a stride-or-two ahead of the rest."
Dream Doors specialises in replacement kitchen doors, an extremely profitable and in-demand business model. The Dream Doors method allows customers to achieve the look of a brand-new kitchen for a fraction of the price of a full refit and with less time and hassle.
There are several advantages to becoming a franchisee with Dream Doors, such as the average annual sales of £600,000 and net profit margins of 15%-20%. Becoming the owner of a local franchise gives you the opportunity to run a local, family run business with sociable working hours, perfect for those who want a business immersed in the local community with the assistance of a proven national brand.
Dream Doors continues to search for new franchisees nationwide, and will be attending the National Franchise Exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham on 13 and 14 October. The company will also be at local franchise shows over the coming months, with the next event held at Towcester Racecourse on 3rd November. Visit the company's franchise website for more details
