Driver Hire franchisee wins London business award

Manjit Singh, owner of Driver Hire’s Enfield office, has been crowned Franchisee of the Year at the inaugural London Asian Business Awards.

The awards, which were held at the Hurlingham Club in Fulham, recognise the entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen embodied by the London Asian business community. The winners in each category were selected by members of the public.

Manjit originally bought the business in 2007 and it has seen great success under his management. Over the past five years, Driver Hire Enfield has never been out of the recruitment business’s top three franchises in terms of performance. In 2014/15, Manjit and his team were Driver Hire’s number-one office, generating turnover in excess of £3million.

Manjit says: “I firmly believe that Driver Hire Enfield has the best team in the business. Add to that the backup and support from the Driver Hire franchise, and I reckon we’ve got one of the best teams in the world.

“We’re passionate about delivering great service, something that I instil in all my staff. Doing good things for our customers makes all of us feel good, too. Franchising has helped me develop a great business, work with some great people and deliver some great returns for my family.”
