Dor-2-Dor reaches 70 franchisees

Published: 26 January 2018

Leaflet distribution and printing company Dor-2-Dor has signed three new franchisees, bringing its total number of UK franchisees to 70.

Dor 2 Dor

The first new franchisees are father-and-son team Steve and Andrew Porter, who will be operating the Walsall franchise.

They both have a background in marketing, with Steve running their print business, while Andrew focuses on fulfilment with the direct mail side.

Steve says that Dor-2-Dor was a “perfect fit” for their existing businesses and that it will enable them to capitalise on their existing clients, who Steve and Andrew predict will be keen to include door-to-door campaigns in their existing marketing activities.

Lorraine Perry, who currently runs a local monthly magazine in Harlow and Bishops Stortford, is the new franchisee for Harlow.

Gale Summers, the previous owner of Dor-2-Dor Harlow, was the appointed distributor for Lorraine's magazines, and when Gale's husband Simon took up a relocation opportunity with his employer, Gale asked Lorraine if she would be interested in taking over the franchise.

Lorraine jumped at the opportunity, and they were quickly able to agree on a financial arrangement that suited both of them.

Finally, husband-and-wife Lucy Woolhouse and Darren Raper will take on the Coventry franchise. While neither has a background in media marketing, Lucy runs a small jewellery business, and Darren works in the motor trade.

They are keen to quickly build the Coventry Dor-2-Dor franchise so that they can concentrate on it as a full-time business for both of them.

Dor-2-Dor was established in 1987 and specialises in professional and reliable door-to-door leaflet distribution. Each franchisee deals with a wide range of clients, from cleaning companies and estate agents to fitness clubs and lawn treatment specialists.
