The Liverpool North branch, which is also the homecare company’s first franchise in the North West of England, achieved its Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration on 10 January. Franchisee Dave Bellis could then begin trading with waiting clients following a successful pre-launch period.
With the first two clients already underway, the branch has been able to get a head start on its projections.
Dave says: "Whilst waiting for our Care Quality Commission registration to be completed, we spent a lot of time marketing and networking ourselves in the local community, which is where both of our immediate clients have come from!
"We concentrated a lot on getting to know the locals and really building our brand awareness through networking events and even hosting our own market stalls. It has paid off though, as we have two more clients in the pipeline.
"I spent 30 years in finance and IT before being made redundant in June last year, but the last few days have probably been more exciting than my whole corporate career put together. No two days are the same and it is great to see how happy our clients are; each day I am more and more certain I have made the right decision."
Franchisor and GP Dr Hannah MacKechnie has experience in the sector, but is always pleased to see a compassionate and enthusiastic franchisee start off so strongly.
"When we first met Dave, he explained he wanted to enter the healthcare sector following experiences with homecare services his own parents received. Those that we meet with such personal connections regularly succeed within this sector, as they have the compassion and desire to provide an excellent service.
"Dave and his registered care manager, Tracey, have both followed the model to the letter, marketing in the pre-launch period and networking as much as possible. It is thanks to their commitment to the model that they have been able to experience such early success, and now have an excellent Radfield Home Care future ahead of them."
With over 35 years' experience in the healthcare industry, the new Liverpool North branch means Radfield Home Care now has nine locations across the UK, providing homecare services to vulnerable older people in their local communities.
