Since its launch, Vodafone UK’s Partner Agent Programme has given many people the opportunity to truly own and take control of their own future.
Vodafone now have 43 stores up and running, with the 50th store opening on the 1st October.
Case Study: Tesh Gandhi
Having worked in the industry for two decades and in a variety of roles at Vodafone for the past 11 years, Tesh wanted a change. With a wealth of experience from driving performance, delivering world-class customer experience and developing significant people management skills, he was ready to become his boss. When the Vodafone Partner Agent Programme launched, Tesh was keen to get on-board as he could finally operate the stores with the globally recognised brand of Vodafone but as his own local business.
He comments:
“The initial set-up required some time, however it was fairly straightforward and far less complicated than if you were going to set-up a business from scratch. The Vodafone Partner Agent team also provided lots of guidance on the things that are needed to set-up the business with a full pack of store financials helping to create the business plan.”
“The team were naturally nervous about the change, however soon came to realise that the role itself did not change. We still use the same systems and are still a part of a Region and Division in Vodafone. Three months in and the team love the way we work, we are quick to act and as they work directly with the store director it’s easy for them to make changes and add value to the company quickly.”
“Locally we have done many things from the way we look at performance to the way the bonus structure works and because the team are able to feedback directly this can be changed within minutes. As long as there is a benefit for both parties this is usually a very easy answer.”
