Delightful Desserts is growing its network through its franchise opportunities

With 20 franchise partners on board over a 12-month period, Delightful Desserts is quickly becoming a popular food retail brand in the UK – one that is affordable, approachable, and increasingly successful.

The sweet treats outlet has plans to open more than 150 sites by 2020, both nationally and internationally, and so now is the ideal time to join the delightful journey, and become a part of one of the UK's most exciting franchises.

What are you looking for in a Delightful Desserts franchisee?

You don’t need any previous business experience. In fact, you don’t even need to know how to make a crêpe! We’re looking for individuals with a passion for completing something from start to finish, who are willing to put in the work to make it a success. 

When you open a franchise with us, you are joining our franchise family and becoming your own boss! As we always say: “When you join our family, you are working for yourself, but not by yourself.”

To join our franchise family, you will need to be:

• Self-motivated
• Organised
• A people person
• Professional
• An effective leader
• In possession of entrepreneurial qualities
• A dessert lover (preferable, but not necessary)

What does the franchise package include and what do you provide in terms of training, marketing and ongoing support?We are devoted to building a successful network and are looking for franchisees that can commit 100 per cent to the business. It’s hard work, but it’s a lot of fun too! After all, who could resist working with scrumptious desserts all day?

Our business model caters to everyone who wants to be a Delightful Desserts franchisee. Considering different business needs, we have created four business models to choose from:

1. Concession

£2,500 plus vat franchise fee
Seating dependent on location
Build costs (including signage and material) up to £20,000

2. Express

£5,000 plus vat franchise fee
0 to 20 seats
Build costs (including signage and material) £20,000 to £40,000

3. Café
£7,500 plus vat franchise fee
20 to 60 seats
Build costs (including signage and material) £40,000 to £80,000

4. Restaurant
£10,000 plus vat franchise fee
60 to 130 seats
Build costs (including signage and material) £80,000 to £150,000

From opening our first store in 2015, we understand how much work goes into running a business. We therefore pride ourselves on supporting our franchisees in every way possible. Our first-class support is categorised into three critical areas:

Cost

• We have our own in-house build team, which lowers the cost for external contractors
• All franchises are fitted with state-of-the-art fridge freezers, which double up as storage use
• Staff members are trained for preparation and creation of all food and drink by the hospitality manager
• Banks and lenders look favourably upon recognised franchise businesses when it comes to funding

Timescale

• Set up and build in a minimum of 48 hours (dependent on which business model is chosen)
• All products have been tried and tested, saving you research and development time
• Whole deliveries are available once a week

Support

• Full support via email, phone and face to face from Delightful Desserts HQ
• Marketing, including bespoke social media campaigns, flyers and posters, PR campaign and internal reports
• New technologies to make the running of the franchise as easy as possible
• Delightful Desserts artisan training at headquarters
• We will be your only point of contact for every need, ranging from produce orders to all the back-of-house ystems and software, to any other issues that you encounter

There’s nothing like running your own business, and with our operational expertise and market-leading proposition, we will be there every step of the way. The franchisee’s main role is managing their team; all of the training is provided by us and we are always available for ongoing support.
