Anytime Fitness UK has promoted Neil Randall to the role of chief operating officer as part of its ongoing strategy to provide the best level of support to its franchisee network.
Neil, who has over 18 years’ experience in the private health club sector and fitness industry with Virgin Active and LA Fitness, formerly held the position of sales and marketing director and will commence work in the new role with immediate effect.
While ensuring Anytime Fitness’s franchisees receive increased levels of support that adopt a more pragmatic and collaborative approach, Neil will simultaneously continue to oversee marketing, partnerships and business development. He will additionally monitor the franchise performance area of the business to enable better structural cohesion within the central support office.
Since joining the senior management team in April 2018, Neil has accomplished several key strategy pieces as part of Anytime Fitness’s brand evolution. He has also overseen several milestones, including the franchise network surpassing 160 clubs, making it the second-largest private gym operator in the UK.
Neil says: “I’m thrilled to be playing a further role towards the significant progress Anytime Fitness UK has made during the past few years.
“We want to empower our franchisees to reach new business heights and the revised staff structure will strengthen our delivery in all aspects of this vision. As well as our ambitious growth plans, Anytime Fitness UK intends to further raise the profile of our brand and service levels.
“We’re in a fantastic position to continue our rapid growth trajectory and I look forward to playing a leading role in our work.”
Stuart Broster, CEO of Anytime Fitness UK, adds: “This promotion is a great testament to what Neil has achieved at Anytime Fitness since his appointment last year. As well as overseeing our recent brand evolution, he has played an integral role in supporting both new and existing franchisees, building a great rapport with them and being a trusted point of contact.
“Neil’s experience will be vital to helping us achieve our future objectives and we look forward to further supporting our franchisees in achieving business success with us.”
