Leading global workspace provider Regus, part of IWG, is set to open its first UK franchise centres.
Following deals with franchise experts ACCA Office and SME Properties, the partnerships will see new centres in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, and Southgate, London, respectively.
The two deals mark a new channel of growth for Regus in a market with significant potential. As franchise partners, both will benefit from Regus’s 30-year heritage in the UK. Alongside industry experience, market awareness and customer understanding, the brand’s proven operating model is set to provide its new partner with an attractive return on investment.
Regus Huntingdon is part of a broader commitment to develop 10 new top-of-the-range Regus centres over the next four years.
Steve Holloway, UK network development director at Regus, says: “It’s an exciting time for the UK flexible office market, and these two partnerships are a sign of the exciting opportunity for landlords to capitalise on the flexible working trend.
“We’re thrilled that our partners are taking on these new spaces in Huntingdon and Southgate, and are looking forward to both centres becoming an established feature for the local business community.”
Julian Chambers, head of franchise development at Regus, says: “We’re delighted to see Regus’s partnerships with ACCA Office and SME Properties take off.
“Projections show that 30 per cent of corporate real estate could be flexible workspace by 2030, up from two per cent today. This makes the flexible office market a very exciting franchise opportunity; partnering with Regus gives business owners who want to invest and develop the ability to participate in the growth story and take advantage of this increasing demand.”
Regus currently has a global network of more than 3,000 flexible workspace centres, with more openings planned in the UK. Franchising is now a key element of the brand’s growth strategy.
