Business Partnership has appointed a new regional partner to cover North Essex, East Hertfordshire and South Suffolk.
Colin Howell has vast knowledge of the corporate and small-business sectors and first-hand experience of being both a business buyer and seller.
Colin, who is based in Little Dunmow, Essex, was a qualified accountant and tax specialist before becoming finance director of a group of companies within the healthcare sector.
The first business sale Colin negotiated (for £11.3million) was for this healthcare group back in 2004. He then established his own company, growing it to a turnover of £50million before selling it in 2018. Achieving that growth involved buying several businesses and getting involved – as adviser or potential buyer or seller – in many more.
Colin’s enthusiasm for business and first-hand experience as a business owner, seller and buyer means that he knows what it feels like to be selling something as all-consuming as your own business. He knows what builds confidence in buyers, as well as how to make sure that the deal agreed is the same deal that is done.
Partnering up as a franchisee with Business Partnership means Colin can still optimise all of his local business network and skills but within a framework and structure that allows him the benefits of nationwide coverage.
