A network of 1,000 electric taxi franchises providing the opportunity for sustainable employment across the UK

This week go Zero have launched the Go Zero Network, a network of 1,000 electric taxi franchises across major UK cities and airports in the UK with an aim to expand sustainable electric travel for all.
Go Zero, launched in 2017, offers a zero-emission electric taxi service to and from London airports in Tesla vehicles. This enables passengers to have a comfortable, hassle-free door to door service to the airports whether it be for business or pleasure whilst being more sustainable, more energy-efficient and kinder to the environment.
Being part of the Go Zero Network offers the franchisee the opportunity to purchase a 5-year licence enabling them to operate their own business under the Go Zero brand giving them the potential to earn between £30K and £50K after costs, based on performance. In addition, the franchisee will own the Tesla vehicle after the 5-year term. The application process is straightforward, and the franchisee can be up and running in just 8-12 weeks after contract signature.
The UK becomes the first major economy to pass a net zero emissions law, setting "net zero" greenhouse gases by 2050. The taxi industry is a major contributor to CO2 emissions and according to the Department of Transport, overall public satisfaction in taxis during 2018 was lower than in previous years. Go Zero plans to lead an entire industry to electric travel as we grow market share and expand across the UK.
In contrast, since 2017, Go Zero has completed over 10,000 zero emission journeys covering over 600,000 electric miles which has saved an impressive 174 tonnes of CO2, demonstrating their commitment to reducing the carbon emissions in the UK. Poor air quality is the biggest environmental risk to public health in the UK and for this reason, the government is planning for all new cars to be effectively zero emission capable by 2040. Go Zero is therefore taking a positive step to support this government initiative with the Go Zero Network.
David Wells, Chief Executive Officer, Go Zero comments: “Carbon emissions and pollution is a growing concern for many people and our founding principles address some of these emission and industry issues by providing electric vehicles powered by renewable energy.”
David Wells concludes, “The next step of Go Zero’s journey is about to begin and we are excited to be launching the franchise business and introducing franchisees to our brand who will in turn help us change the future of travel by providing a reliable and affordable experience for everyone whether it is of business or pleasure. Our aim is not only to provide a sustainable future which is better for the environment as well as the population but also to help businesses meet their CSR goals by reducing their carbon footprint.”
