Tezlom celebrates Companies That Care Day following company rebrand

Healthcare recruitment business Tezlom has celebrated Companies That Care Day (18 March 2020) following a five-figure makeover of its Bradford franchise.
The franchise, which has operated since 2015, has received a £60,000 office makeover in line with the wider company rebrand, which has transformed the company formerly known as 247 Professional Health.
The family-run business, which is now operating from the ground floor of the family home, has a total of 18 team members.
Business development manager Shafiq Rehman says: “I have been involved in the healthcare industry since 1996, running care and nursing homes in the area. Five years ago, I decided I wanted to take a new direction and work on a business that could involve the next generation of my family and support them into the profession.
“When I met Ryan Armitage, managing director of Tezlom, I knew straight away that our family values and business ethics aligned, and I decided soon after to become a franchisee. Since then, we have continued to grow and are now one of the firm’s largest franchises across the UK.
“Whilst our business is centred around our own family, with it being based out of our home and involving my son and nephews to name a few, I wanted to hone in on Tezlom’s core values and make sure that each and every member of our team, whether they are our office staff or agency workers, felt like family too. For instance, one of the big concerns amongst our team was transport and transport costs, so we have become the first franchise to provide door-to-door travel solutions for shifts.
“As an employer, I always want to go out of my way to provide opportunities for hard-working individuals. We would never discriminate based on personal circumstances, such as illness, race or religion, and as a result, we have employed team members that have never worked before due to prejudice who have gone on to develop successful careers within our business.”
Tezlom supplies care assistants, qualified nurses and support workers to clients across the UK, including care homes and hospitals.
Ryan adds: “We care about the people we’re working with, which is why at our head offices we have introduced regular yoga classes and meditation sessions for our employees in an ongoing effort to encourage better mental health practices at work.
“As a business owner, I know that staff are the vital part of any business and I take pride in having created a nationwide company that really treats team members like family.”
