Olympic bronze medallist Frazer Clarke and former British Super Middleweight champion Zach Parker cut the ribbon at Anytime Fitness Swadlincote
Derbyshire’s newest gym enjoyed a knockout grand opening on Friday, with local boxers Frazer Clarke and Zach Parker cutting the ribbon at Anytime Fitness Swadlincote.
The brand-new 24-hour gym, which has been transformed
from its previous guise of Evisa Fitness on Hearthcote Road, has welcomed hundreds of new members through its doors after opening to the public in January.
The gym has enjoyed a six-figure refurbishment and features a broad range of high-quality equipment, group exercise classes and around the clock opening hours to suit all lifestyles. The gym will pride itself on its inclusive and welcoming membership community, as well as the support and guidance offered by its expert team.
For members who may travel regularly, their Anytime Fitness membership allows them to access all of its 185+ locations across the UK and Ireland, as well as 5,000+ gyms worldwide.
“I’m excited to officially open Anytime Fitness Swadlincote,” said the gym’s owner, Sharon Thandi. “The previous owners of Evisa Fitness did a fantastic job of building a close-knit community and we’re keen to continue building on their great work. We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable in the gym and we’re really happy with the supportive team that we have in place here.
“A huge thank you to both Frazer and Zach for attending our grand opening and taking the time to speak to some of our members. As professional athletes, they understand more than most about the importance of their physical and mental wellbeing and we hope to see them in the gym in the future at some point.”
Anytime Fitness Swadlincote has also pledged its support to local charity, Miles For Smiles. The gym will host ongoing fundraising for the team to help benefit local causes in Derbyshire.
