The Social Care Leadership Awards 2023, in its continuous effort to recognise outstanding leadership in the social care sector, has proudly awarded the Executive Home Care Franchise Leader Award to Dan Archer, UK CEO of Visiting Angels.

Founded in 2017 by Dan Archer, Visiting Angels has since become a beacon of success within the UK's home care landscape. Addressing pivotal workforce challenges, Dan's unyielding commitment to a carer-centric approach has ensured that carers receive fair pay, comprehensive benefits and well-structured contracts. His dedication has not only made Visiting Angels an exceptional employer but has also positioned the company as an industry leader, with Archer's visionary leadership being key to its success.

In a sector where strong leadership is of paramount importance, especially given the current climate challenges, awards such as these are integral in spotlighting those at the helm. The Social Care Leadership Awards 2023 offers a prestigious platform to showcase the pinnacle of senior leadership in the sector. Organised by Care Talk magazine, these awards span across 10 diverse categories, acknowledging leadership in various areas, from learning disabilities and autism to children and young care, dementia care, and both care home and home care settings.

"It's been a remarkable year for Visiting Angels, marking numerous industry milestones and expanding our franchise family. As more industry leaders recognise the significance of putting caregivers at the forefront of our mission, our nearly 60 franchises are making a difference in lives throughout the UK. This award underscores our effective approach while also saluting the exceptional contributions of the Visiting Angels community every day,” said Dan.

“Receiving such an esteemed accolade is a testament to the dedication and conviction of the wonderful team I'm privileged to collaborate with. This recognition belongs to the entire Visiting Angels network, as we soar to new accomplishments and persistently enhance the quality of in-home care."

The award was presented to Dan at an elegant black-tie gala ceremony held at the London Hilton Bankside Hotel. The event, which took place on Thursday 12th October, saw industry leaders, innovators and influencers congregate to celebrate the very best in social care leadership.
