250 franchises later and still going strong!
During 2023, Home Instead has had a lot to celebrate. Most recently, the company marked reaching its 250th franchise. It’s a milestone that no other home care company has reached yet and takes the brand a step closer to its mission to expand the world’s capacity to care.
The Home Instead journey
Home Instead arrived in the UK in 2005, pioneering a new approach to home care. The journey began with its pilot office in Chester, before selling its first franchise in Sheffield the following year.
Ever since, every new franchise has brought Home Instead to local communities across the UK, supporting families with ageing loved ones keen to stay living at home. As the network of dedicated franchise owners has grown, so has its team of National Office employees and business partners. Home Instead’s position as providing exceptional, quality care that meets the needs of the future has only got stronger over the years.
A 250th franchise celebration
Reaching the 250th franchise mark was an occasion that couldn’t be ignored. Home Instead brought together franchisees and the National Office team for a special celebration at Delamere Manor in Cheshire.
CEO of Home Instead UK & International, Martin Jones MBE, gave a speech. Reflecting on the journey the company has taken over the past 18 years, he said: “Operating in a market that’s growing at pace, it’s vital that we do look to the future, however, it’s when reaching milestones like this it’s great to look back – as I said at this year’s annual conference ‘It’s only when you look back that we can see how far we’ve come’.”
Suzie and Rob Stanton have the honour of owning the 250th franchise office. They were delighted to play a key part in the event and say a few words. They joined with a background in franchising, an entrepreneurial spirit and the passion to be joining a business that’s truly making a difference. It’s no surprise that their franchise in Mansfield is already delivering 1,400 hours of care per month with a team of around 16 care professionals and 40 clients.
From the 250th franchise to the first; Home Instead was delighted to share the celebration with Bryn and Jill Evans. They established franchise office number one, and now run several across Sheffield and Barnsley. 17 years later, they’re continuing to be a lifeline for families in need of support, innovating as care needs change. In fact, they still employ their very first care professional. A true success story, Bryn and Jill show the prosperity you can enjoy as a Home Instead franchisee.
COO of Home Instead UK, Ruth Brown, also spoke at the event. Looking ahead into the future of the brand, she said: “I know that our network of dedicated franchise owners, supported by our expert National Office team and carefully selected business partners will continue to lead from the front as we work in partnership to provide outstanding, quality care that meets the care needs of the future.”
